Dear Highline Soccer Association G99, G98, G97 and G96 Players -
Highline Premier will be hosting its annual team formation tryouts in the next two weekends for the GU13-GU18 age groups, with GU13-GU15 this weekend and
GU16-GU18 next weekend.
We are inviting interested players in the association at these ages to come out to training sessions the teams are running the balance of this week and next week (See team web pages), introduce
themselves to the coaches, and participate in the upcoming tryouts. All of the below four teams have been assigned very good new coaches, most who have coached at the collegiate level and have top
coaching instruction licenses (USSF A and USSF B). It may be the right opportunity for players looking to develop and prepare them to play more competitively in high school and beyond. Please feel
free to contact these coaches and/or register for their upcoming tryouts by going to: http://www.highlinepremier.com.

Highline Premier FC Launches Integrated Select Tier for Highline Youth Soccer Community
SEATTLE (May 4, 2012) -- Highline Premier FC, the advanced development club of the Highline Soccer Association, has announced the launch of the HIGHLINE SELECT Program for the 2012-13 program year. The program will provide an integrated select tier of instruction and play for members of the communities served by Highline Premier in addition to its existing premier program.
The program has been carefully designed in coordination with association and member club leadership to provide a high value to the participant while meeting the needs of the community to provide a
level of instruction and play above Recreational but not as comprehensive as Premier. HIGHLINE SELECT is ideally structured to the player that wants more than recreational soccer in terms of
instruction and more competitive play but either is not yet at a premier level and/or has not determined the premier commitment to be suitable. HIGHLINE SELECT is ideal for the multi-sport
athlete/family.
HIGHLINE SELECT program launch coaches at time of news release include Mike Rhodes - BU11; Jim Ryan - BU12; and Sean Coleman - GU11. The inaugural coach slate is a cross-section of member clubs of the Highline Soccer Association. Tryouts for HIGHLINE SELECT teams start this weekend as part of the Highline Premier tryouts.
Elements of HIGHLINE SELECT include:
- Volunteer Coach participating in an integrated coach development program with the Highline Premier coaching staff, overseen by the club Coaching Director and Technical Director.
- Professional trainer assigned to each select teams to provide advanced technical instruction.
- Lower overall time commitment than premier, 2 trainings/week over a 7-to-9 month duration.
- Participation in a fall 'select' league and an end of season State Cup.
- Periodic joint training of age groups across premier and select.
- Periodic premier match play participation by qualified select players through Club/Player Pass.
- Program management through Highline Premier and members of the Highline Soccer Association community.
- Joint, fully integrated team formation process with the premier and select tiers. Participants provided assessments and choose based on aptitude, interest and time/financial considerations.
- Amazing value at $750, excluding uniform/kit.
Highline Premier Club President stated, "We are excited about what the launch of the HIGHLINE SELECT program means to our community. For many years our association leadership has collectively recognized a need for a tier of instruction and play that was above recreational but not with the same time and financial commitments required of premier soccer. HIGHLINE SELECT brings this to the community … top-shelf technical instruction, coach mentoring, exciting and challenging select play venues, state cup, and periodic premier training and play opportunities at a price point that is far less daunting for our community."
Highline Premier is committed to delivering a first-class player development environment through programs that meet the unique and varying needs of players in its club and enrolled in its programs.
